Indologist, specialised in modern Hindi literature; lectures at the Department of Indian Studies at the Jagiellonian University Institute of Oriental Philology. She translated a number of works of Polish and Hindi literature; co-edited four bilingual (Polish/Hindi) volumes of selected poems by Wisława Szymborska, Zbigniew Herbert, Czesław Miłosz and Tadeusz Różewicz.

Laurence Dyevre
Born in Paris. Studied Russian and Polish Philology at the Eastern Languages Institute in Paris and then Polish Philology at the Sorbonne. She taught Polish language in France. For many years, she has been translating Polish prose into French. Member of the French Association of Literary Translators (Stanisław Lem, Czesław Miłosz, Sławomir Mrożek, Jerzy Pilch, Mariusz Wilk, Adam Zagajewski). Currently the vice-director of the French Institute in Krakow.
Jochen Fried
Director of education initiatives and academic director of the International Study Programme at the Salzburg Seminar. Former director of the Universities Project of the Salzburg Seminar. Since 1998 head of programs at the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna and senior officer in the secretariat of the German Science Council in Cologne, Germany. After receiving the PhD degree in German literature from the Düsseldorf University, in 1984, he was lecturer at the Cambridge University, and at the University of Ljubljana, under the auspices of the German Academic Exchange Service. MA in Central European Studies at the Central European University, Budapest in 1994. PhD in Economic Geography at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 1998. Research fields include Regional Economics, Regional Economics of Finance, Financial Geography, Regional Innovation Policy, Innovation Systems, Co-operation in the Central Europe in the field of innovation, Financial Sector Development in the Eastern and Central Europe and Economic History. Senior research fellow at the Centre for Regional Studies, HAS, the Transdanubian Research Institute, and Associate Professor at the University of Kaposvár, Faculty of Economics, Department of Regional Economics.2003-2004expert at the Regional Foresight Unit at the DG Research of the European Commission, Brussels. 2001-2004 senior manager of the Regional Innovation Strategy for the South Transdanuabian region.
Danuta Glondys
She holds a PhD degree in the Humanities, MA in English Philology and in Political Studies. In the period 1993–1999, she was director of the Cultural Department of the Municipality of Krakow and following it, the Regional Director of the USAID programme in Poland. She is the European Commission expert in the European Capitals of Culture programme selecting and monitoring all ECOC since 2009. Director of the Villa Decius Association in 2001-2016, she is now the Plenipotentiary of the Board for International Affairs, responsible for its initiating and implementing programmes which advocate international cultural and intellectual cooperation and promotion of intercultural dialogue and human rights.Lecturer at the Jagiellonian University and the Humanistic Studies Department of the University of Technology in Krakow. Her research field covers relations between culture and politics and European integration. Author of numerous articles and publications. An avid traveler.
Olga Glondys
PhD in Modern Spanish Literature at the University Autónoma in Barcelona. Graduated in Spanish Philology from the Jagiellonian University (with distinction). Worked as translator. In 2004 translated Gułag - book of T. Kinzi, published by Galaxia Gutenberg. Participated in translation and edition of Literatura Hiper-textual yla Teoría Literaria, published in 2003 in Spain. Cooperates with literary newspaper Quimera. For this newspaper she made an interview with Czesław Miłosz (December 2004). In 2004 took part in seminar Literatura y ciudad organized by the University in Kiel, Germany.
Mihaly Györ
Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to Poland. Graduated in economics (international economic relations) from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Since 1975 he has worked in the ministries responsible for foreign trade and economic cooperation. From 1988 to 1994 served as a commercial counsellor at the Hungarian Embassy in Warsaw. Between 1994-2000 Head of Departments in the Ministry of Industry and Trade (later Ministry of Economy) responsible for the economic cooperation with Central and East European countries. In 2000-2002 he continued his career performing the same duties as in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was awarded the “Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland” in 1996.
Helga Hirsch
Studied German Philology and Political Science at the Free University in Berlin. From 1989 to 1995, worked as a correspondent for the German weekly Die Zeit in Warsaw and since 1996 has been active as a freelance journalist for various newspapers, television and radio broadcasters. Author of books: Zemsta ofiar (Victims' revenge) and Nie mam keine buty(I have keine shoes).
